WE DEFY – Colonel Gregory Gadson

June 26th, 2012 by Justin

Colonel Gregory Gadson has just recently been appointed to the position of Garrison Commander at Fort Belvoir. Now, you might ask who is Colonel Gregory Gadson? Colonel Gadson has served the U.S. Army for more than 20 years as a field artillery officer and has served active duty in Kuwait, Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. Gadson went to West Point and played football there from 1985 to 1988. He graduated in 1989 and he also holds Masters Degrees in Information Systems and Policy Management from Webster University. On May 7, 2007, he was injured in Baghdad by a roadside bomb causing him to lose both of his legs and seriously injuring his right arm. Colonel Gadson became one of the first to use a next-generation prosthetic knee with technology that allows for a more natural walk. Gadson also has a role in the movie “Battleship” that came out this past May in which he does his own stunts. Now this is a story of a truly DEFYANT individual.

Here’s a clip of Colonel Gadson filming his fight scene in the movie.
