So today I was on twitter and I probably twitpiced a good 20 pictures of past designs from my other line Sucka 4 Love, which is on hiatus right now. Then it made me think of my “one of one” shirt. I made it for a friend for her birthday. I call it Barack Belle Basquiat because those are the three people who inspired the shirt and it also kind of looks like a real name. On twitter I said my “NO DAYS OFF” t-shirt was my favorite but then I remembered I made this shirt. I almost forgot about it and thats probably because I have never actually seen the shirt in person but thats a story for another time. This is my favorite t-shirt.

Barack
I made the shirt shortly after coming back from inauguration and while I was in DC on the mall someone passed me a program for the inauguration. President Obama inauguration was the 56th one we had and he is the 44th president. If my math is right thats a 100. His campaign was change we can believe in. So thats where you get the 100% change and the actual change inside the crown.

Belle
She is from Cincinnati, Oh and was born in 87, hence the 87 half dollar and the Ohio special edition quarter.

Basquiat
The crown which is the base of design is a symbol Jean-Michel Basquiat. He has inspired many designs and recently Swizz Beatz has created a website titled Basquiat Music where he releases his weekly Monster Monday releases.
